Cornelius has bought a pub. I doubt it. There is some discussion about a name, as usual, so here is my unwelcome and unsolicited contribution:

After seeing a pub in Lewes, Sussex, called 'The Volunteer', I was put in mind of the saying that a volunteer is worth ten pressed men. I suggest the new pub be called 'The Eleven Pressed Men'.
